After years of performing at high-energy wedding receptions and corporate events, Slowverb has refined its focus toward more intimate, thoughtfully curated performances. Slowverb provides an acoustic vocal soloist for ceremonies, duo for canapés and dinner, with the option to seamlessly transition into DJ sets later in the night.
Every Slowverb booking is approached with care and intention, with packages tailored to suit the unique flow, atmosphere, and priorities of each wedding.
Musical Style
Picture a wedding set in a sun-drenched vineyard as golden hour settles in. The air is warm, the light soft and glowing. Floating through the space, a reverberated guitar drifts gently above silken vocals, anchored by a precise, understated beat and a warm, rounded synth bass. The music draws you in without demanding attention.
Suddenly you’re relaxed, present, striking up an effortless conversation with someone you’ve just met. It’s fleeting, exciting, and carried by a soundtrack that feels equal parts modern and timeless, reminiscent of Khruangbin or Leon Bridges.

The Golden Hour Package
Slowverb sets the tone as you walk down the aisle with the songs you love, then carries that feeling through to a relaxed, golden-hour cocktail hour with your guests.
Here is what we offer:
Acoustic Solo: Acoustic soloist for the ceremony, including 30 minutes of live music before the ceremony, and up to 3 songs of your choice during the ceremony.
Slowverb Duo: 2 x 45minute sets with a 15 min break in between.
This package includes:
Complete setup before guests arrive.
Providing all suitable audio equipment, performance lighting, decorative rugs, extension cords and mics. (Battery powered equipment can also be provided)
Live performance of your isle, signing and processional song. Learning up to 3 songs of your choice (if Louis doesn’t already know them).
Moving performance spaces between ceremony area, canapés.
Providing and controlling all break or formality music.
Meeting with Sam & Louis to work through details of the event.
The Full Soundtrack
The ultimate all-day wedding package. From the first note to the final dance, your entire day’s entertainment and atmosphere is seamlessly curated by Slowverb.
Here is what we offer:
Acoustic Solo: Acoustic soloist for the ceremony, including 30 minutes of live music before the ceremony, and up to 3 songs of your choice during the ceremony.
Slowverb Duo - up to 4 x 45 minute sets with a 15 min break in between. The set times and locations can be modified to suit your needs. (Eg. 2 x 45 minute sets for outdoor cocktail hour followed by 2 x 45 minute sets for reception dinner.
Dancefloor DJ – For guests ready to hit the dancefloor, we provide a high- energy DJ set for 2 hours following the reception.
This package includes:

Travel is free for any Newcastle/Hunter Valley events. If your event is outside of these areas then please let us know and we can work out a price for you. Destination weddings are welcome.

Slowverb understands that every wedding and event is unique and may not fit a standard package. We’re always happy to tailor things to suit your needs.

Our band performs from a carefully curated set list designed to create the best experience for your event. We typically do not accept song requests during performances. However, if there are specific songs required for key moments such as the ceremony, first dance, or other significant parts of your event, we are happy to accommodate these with sufficient notice (minimum four weeks). Please note that an additional fee of $100 per track will apply for these requests, covering the preparation and rehearsal time necessary to ensure a high-quality performance.

Yes, you can book in a meet with Loui and Sam anytime to go over any details of the event you might have questions about. This can be done locally in person or via a zoom meeting.

All speakers, leads, power, microphones and lighting are provided. The client gets everything included upon booking which caters for events from 10 to 200 PAX. Only the highest quality equipment is used including Bose, Yamaha, Pioneer etc.
